How long will my order take?
In-stock pieces are dispatched within 3–5 working days. Made-to-order and custom pieces take 12–15 working days. Gold coins and bars go out within 2 working days. You will get a tracking link by email as soon as the parcel leaves us.
What does shipping cost?
Nothing. Every order ships fully insured across India at our cost, in tamper-evident packaging, through a jewellery-grade courier. Delivery requires a signature and photo ID.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Sign in to My Account to see live status, or use the tracking link in your dispatch email.
Do you deliver outside India?
Not at present. We ship within India only. For international enquiries, write to care@chhajedjewellers.com and we will tell you what is possible.
Is your gold jewellery hallmarked?
Every gold piece is BIS hallmarked and carries a six-digit HUID you can verify yourself on the BIS Care app. The hallmark, purity and HUID are all printed on your invoice.
Are your diamonds certified?
Yes. Diamond jewellery is supplied with an IGI or SGL certificate stating carat, colour, clarity and cut. The certificate is dispatched with the piece.
What does 22KT and 18KT actually mean?
22KT is 91.6% pure gold, used for traditional jewellery where the colour matters most. 18KT is 75% pure gold, harder and better suited to holding diamonds securely. Both are hallmarked accordingly.
Why does the weight on my invoice differ slightly?
Handmade jewellery varies a little. Net weight may differ from the listed figure by up to 3%, and your invoice always reflects the actual weighed value, not the estimate.
How is the final price calculated?
Metal value (net weight × prevailing rate) + making charges + stone value + GST. Every line is printed separately on the invoice, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Are making charges negotiable?
Making charges are quoted per gram before you commit and are the same in store and online. We do not fold them into the metal rate or discount them selectively.
Why did the price change since yesterday?
Gold and diamond rates move daily. The price that applies to your order is the one displayed at the moment your payment completes.
Can I return a piece?
Yes, within 15 days of delivery, unworn and in its original packaging with certificate and invoice. Made-to-order pieces, gold coins and bars, and pierced earrings once the seal is broken cannot be returned. Full detail on the Shipping & Returns page.
What is your exchange policy?
Chhajed gold jewellery can be exchanged at full prevailing gold value, at any time, at any store, with no deduction. Diamond jewellery carries a lifetime upgrade against a piece of higher value. See Exchange & Buyback.
Do you repair jewellery?
Polishing, re-sizing and re-rhodium plating on Chhajed pieces are free for life. For jewellery bought elsewhere we will quote before starting any work.
How should I store my jewellery?
Keep pieces separately in soft pouches to avoid scratching, away from perfume, chlorine and household cleaners. Put jewellery on last when dressing and take it off first.
